Reliance Jio further slashes its tariff by Rs. 50, offers 50% extra data

The battle between the telecom players in India is getting fiercer with every passing day. In response to the recent price cuts announced by the incumbent players, Reliance Jio has revised its tariff plans yet again and has made them cheaper by Rs. 50. The company is also offering additional data along with the new reduced prices.

Jio had quite recently lowered the price of its prepaid tariff plans and this would be the second cut within a month’s time. With the new rates in place, the cheapest plan from Jio would now cost Rs. 98 which offers unlimited calls and 2GB of high-speed data with a validity of 28 days. Besides this, all the existing prepaid plans have got their prices reduced by Rs. 50. Also, the plans with daily data caps will now be offering 500MB more data each day.

Reliance Jio Republic Day tariff plans

As per the official image from the company, these prices are a part of the Republic Day celebrations. Until now, Jio plans offering 1GB/day cost Rs. 199, Rs. 399, Rs. 459, and Rs. 509 with a validity of 28 days, 70 days, 84 days, and 91 days respectively. From now on, the same plans will be available for Rs. 149, Rs. 349, Rs. 399, and Rs. 449 respectively, while still retaining their validity. Apart from this, the data offering has also been upped to 1.5GB/day for all the above-mentioned plans.

The Jio plans that are offering 1.5GB/day cost Rs. 198, Rs. 398, Rs. 448, and Rs. 498 with a validity of 28 days, 70 days, 84 days, and 91 days respectively. While the company hasn’t slashed their prices, the data allotment has been increased; all these plans will now be offering 2GB of data daily.

Like it was mentioned above, these plans have been announced to mark the Republic Day and will come into effect from January 26 itself. With these new prices, you can also avail the 100 percent cashback offer that the company had announced a while ago. Under this offer, you can avail vouchers worth Rs. 400 along with a cashback of up to Rs. 300 from Jio’s wallet partners on recharges of Rs. 398 and above.
