Lenovo’s high end gaming phone is coming this month and it will be epic for sure. Well, the Lenovo Legion has stopped by AnTuTu earlier today giving a much needed glimpse into the top-to-the-line phone.
The AnTuTu listing reveals the phone bearing model number L79031 and it has set a new benchmark for gaming-centric phones. The phone has 648,871 points on AnTuTu which goes in-line with the previous hint by the manufacturer that it would surpass the 600K mark. Additionally, the phone outruns the score made by XIaomi Mi 10 at 593,389.
Anyways, the listing gives more than just the score. It does mention that the phone will arrive with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It will sport a display with 2340×1080 pixels resolution which is imminent given the fact that it has top-of-the-line specifications.
What’s interesting is to see the overclocked version of the Snapdragon 865 known as Snapdragon 865 Plus that will be mounted on the upcoming Lenovo Legion that went official just today, a few hours after the Lenovo Legion on AnTuTu was spotted.
The listing states that the chipset has a high-performance cluster i.e. Kryo 585 Prime which is clocked at 3.09GHz which is a massive upgrade over the max frequency of Snapdragon 865 at 2.84GHz. Furthermore, it mentioned the individual score for the UX at 100,176 points as it is heavily optimized affirming the said scores. It further speculates that the display sports a 144Hz refresh. The CPU doesn’t see much improvement, however, the GPU mounted on the Plus chipset is 13% faster than the Snapdragon 865.
Next up, the phone will sport LPDDR5 up to 1GB RAM which is analogous to any flagship phone while the storage is using UFS 3.1 system and finally, the phone will run on Android 10 out-of-the-box.
Lenovo Legion has already appeared in numerous teasers ahead of its launch according to which it will have no notch at the front. Plus, the front camera setup is mounted on the long edge as a pop-up camera module allowing users to have a great landscape experience. Even the rear dual-camera setup is situated at the center of the back panel in a horizontal layout easing the landscape use cases. In fact Lenovo has optimized the upcoming gaming phone for landscape use as well.
Other features that the manufacturer has confirmed is the 90W fast charging speed that was later found out to be an all inclusive number counting the wattage of both wired and wireless charging tech onboard. There will be 2 USB Type-C ports mounted on the phone along with a state-of-the-art liquid cooling technology which is a necessity for a gaming phone like Lenovo Legion.
Stay tuned to know more about the upcoming Lenovo Legion arriving this month.
