Meta Connect 2026 concluded with a tonne of new devices, agentic AI offerings, 100+ styles of glasses, and the tagline ‘the future is for everyone.’ Mark Zuckerberg and team spot about Meta’s personal superintelligence AI agent called Muse, sitting at the center of the announcements along with Ray-Ban glasses, a state-of-the-art VR glass, holographic calls on the way, and more, as it aspires to enter the lives of billions of people.

Meet Muse—a personal super-intelligent AI agent
Well, Muse is here. Termed as Meta’s finest specimen of a super intelligent personal agentic AI, Muse learns from your daily interactions and activities. It customizes your feed according to your personality. Whether it’s negotiating on insurance bills, planning a vacation, or anything in between, Muse is there as your partner and something that can make money for you.
Muse is available for free at the moment; however, Zuckerberg mentions a small fee for transactions will be levied in the coming times. You can pair with Muse Charm, a handheld device that doesn’t require smart glasses to use.
Meta launches Ray-Ban Gen 3 Glasses
Meta Ray-Ban Gen 3 are here starting at $249. Choose from 51 different styles; these are next-gen glasses with Meta AI embedded on-board. These arrive with a 12MP camera with 3K UHD video support, 360-degree Dolby Atmos spatial audio, and the Muse personal AI agent assisting you at every juncture.
Ray-Ban Gen 3 lets you make calls with a six-microphone array attached and reduces 90% of background noise. There’s up to 9 hours of battery life on-board Gen 3, compared to Gen 2.
This is Meta’s answer to the growing smart glasses competition. The freedom to choose from hundreds of designs, including Aviator, Zena, Capti, and Nova, to name a few.
Make some noise for Meta’s VR Glasses at $1,299
We had to dive into Meta VR Glasses a bit more just because it is an interesting prospect. It is the first-ever IMAX-certified VR device that makes your viewing experience a bliss. Zuckerberg mentions the glasses are approx. 100 g in weight, and, for comparison, it is five times lighter than what the Meta Quest 3 weighs.
You get access to a full array of an AR keyboard, trackpad, and a tonne of gesture controls using hands, fingers, and eyes to interact with the content being displayed. The glasses support 75 gaming tiles, including Xbox Cloud Gaming. There’s something for sports as well. The glasses cover major leagues such as the English Premier League and UFC, or you can watch live events from anywhere in the stadium.
There are also hologram calls that we will talk about a bit. Undoubtedly the biggest launch at Meta Connect 2026, these VR glasses are equipped with a 5K infinite display with micro-OLED panels, high-fidelity hand tracking, a super compact form factor with a separate battery and processing pack, and a price tag of just $1,299.
The VR glasses are set to arrive in spring 2027.

Let’s talk a bit about camera-less audio smart glasses

It is a small, handheld gadget that fits right in your pocket. It has voice interaction capability with a built-in real-time voice model that doesn’t rely on your phone.

Hologram Calls are now just a ‘call’ away
I always envied Gavin Belson of the TV series Silicon Valley for his holographic calls. Although they never worked, either the network strength was poor, or the tech was too ahead of its time; it seems like I will be able to do a holographic call in real life soon!
Meta showcased holographic video call capability at Meta Connect 2026, probably one of the major highlights. As part of Meta’s latest VR glasses that will cost you $1,299 (or an iPhone 18 Pro 256GB equivalent), you can make full-body hologram calls.
Think about it: you are far from your loved ones. With your Meta VR Glasses, you will be able to see them up close (even though it is merely a VR-ized version of them captured ahead of calls), but it’s there. Of course, full-fledged hyper-realistic holographic calls are a bit too far-fetched, at least for now, but the latest innovation is inches away from making it a reality.
