OnePlus Rolls Out Open Beta 26 and 12 for OnePlus 5/5T/6/6T

All four OnePlus smartphones release in 2017 and 2018 i.e. OnePlus 5, OP5T, OP6, and the latest OnePlus 6T are running on Android Pie 9.0. To improve the user experience on OP smartphone, the Chinese flagship manufacturer is pushing out Open Beta updates to all eligible users in order to fine-tune the Android Pie 9.0 OS with minor bug fixes and new features.

As per the OnePlus Forums, OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T users will receive an Android Pie 9.0 based OxygenOS Open Beta 26 update while 2018 OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T will get Open Beta 12 updates with varying features and fixes.

According to the changelogs, OnePlus 5 and 5T users will get optimizations for the screenshot function as well as enhancements in gaming mode. Also, quick reply in landscape mode will be added to the users. As per 2018, OP6 and OP6T are concerned, the changelogs state that OnPlus Laboratory has been along with other changes mentioned in the previous changelogs. Also, OP6 and OP6T will now support the world clock with weather information, etc.

This is an Open Beta update which means only the participants will get the update right now. Post-evaluation and final bug fixes, the update will be pushed via OTA to all the OnePlus 5, 5T, 6, and 6T users. OnePlus is indeed one of the fastest smartphone brands to roll out fixes and updates such as it did roll out Android Pie 9.0 for OnePlus 6 in September 2018 which is phenomenal since Android Pie 9.0 was launched just a month ago in August 2018.

Watch out for the stable update that you can check by sliding into the Settings >> System >> updates or you can download OnePlus Updater app where updates are available beforehand.
