OnePlus 6 launch event is just around the corner with the Indian launch set for May 17. Just when the whole season of rumors was about to over, a massive leak revealing everything about the device appeared. This leak is coming from the German branch of the largest e-commerce company – Amazon Germany. The flagship killer of the year has been fully revealed in its glory accidentally.
First reported by Winfuture.de, OnePlus 6 page went live on the Amazon Germany accidentally revealing official pictures, specifications, and Europian pricing. The listing is now pulled off from the website leaking the smartphone. To recall, OnePlus 6 will see the official global launch on May 16.
OnePlus 6 leaked images and specifications
According to the listing, the smartphone will be available in two different colors – Midnight Black and Mirror Black. Although previous leaks from Amitabh Bachchan suggested a white variant launch in India. Looking at the leaked yet official images of the device, it is now solid that the device will have a glass back design. You can see the reflection at the back in those images. There is a notch on the front of the display and a dual cam at the back accompanied by a fingerprint sensor. There is a OnePlus logo branding just below it. Overall, the smartphone looks pretty good thanks to the glass design. Previously, the company itself revealed the addition of the glass back to the design. They also claimed that they tried around 70 different glass material before choosing the right one.
As per the leaks, OnePlus 6 will have a 6.28-inches display with 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch on the front. It will boast a Snapdragon 845 chipset, up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage. The device will have two camera sensors at the back – 16MP+20MP with OIS portrait mode and slow-motion. It will run on Android 8.1.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. Other specifications include water and dust resistant, Dash charging, and Android P eligibility.
OnePlus 6 availability and pricing
While most of the specifications are already confirmed, this leak suggested us the availability pattern in Germany as well as the Europian pricing. According to the report, OnePlus 6 is priced at Euro 519 (roughly Rs 41,000) for the 64GB variant, the other variant with 128GB of onboard storage will cost you Euro 569 (roughly Rs 45,000). Again, there is no word on the pricing of 256 GB variant. The pricing for the Indian market is expected to be different – Rs 36,999 for 64GB and Rs. 39,999 for 128GB as we previously claimed.
Amazon Germany also revealed that the OnePlus 6 would be available from May 22 on the e-commerce platform. The Chinese company might follow the same timeline structure in India too.
But, there is a catch on the glass back
Today’s leak suggested that the much awaited OnePlus 6 will arrive in two colors – Midnight Black and Mirror Black. The midnight black comes with the material which is used in the previous generation of OnePlus device. Mirror Black, on the other hand, will be the one coming with the teased all-glass design. The glass will be protected by Corning Gorilla 5 on both the front as well as the back of the device.
Apart from that, the listing didn’t reveal any info about the Wireless charging and 256GB variant. Although, we were expecting OnePlus to feature a wireless charging support because of the glass back. To find that, we would have to wait for either more leaks or the official unveiling. Well, whatever will be the case, we’ll keep you guys update just like we always do.
