It’s that time of the year when we can expect a T-variant of a OnePlus smartphone. As per the various rumors and leaks, OnePlus is working on a new smartphone which will be more like an updated version of already launched OnePlus 6. OnePlus 6T has been leaked numerous times already but there is still no solid information either related to specs or the design until now. The upcoming smartphone has been leaked once again and this time we have a render image, revealing nearly everything when it comes to design. This render image seems to be a part of marketing material.

This report is coming from a tech publication which goes by the name of SlashGear. As per the report, a Weibo user today uploaded an image of the smartphone with a caption “appearance is no suspense”. This leak, of course, shows Chinese variant of OnePlus 6T but it should be similar to global in terms of design.

OnePlus 6T

The leaked render image shows triple camera setup at the back with no fingerprint sensor expectedly. We’re expecting in-display fingerprint sensor this time. Unlike OnePlus 6, this version comes with a waterdrop like notch instead of the traditional one found in the previous generation Onelus 6. Apart from that, there are tiny bezels on the sides with small chin on the bottom giving you a higher screen-to-body ratio. The OnePlus 6T in the red color looks pretty good. The waterdrop notch was first seen in Essential Phone and since then numerous brand used it in their models. if you’re not aware, Oppo recently launched two smartphones which comes with this notch while the Vivo launched at least one. Considering the fact that all these brands including OnePlus is all same, the waterdrop notch on OnePlus 6T isn’t that surprising.

One thing which all the recently launched Oppo and Vivo smartphone missed is the in-display fingerprint sensor. OnePlus with their upcoming device is going to fill that gap. To recall, Oppo last month launched R17 Pro which also comes with under display sensor. OnePlus 6T was also allegedly spotted on Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in Russia with a model number A6013. The already launched OnePlus 6 comes with a model number A6000 suggesting this a potential upgrade. Looking at their previous naming trend, it is highly likely that the brand will go with T-variant.

The official launch event will likely take place somewhere in the month of November. We’re speculating November 20 or 21st which is not that far so expect more leaks and images to surface online.
