Realme 3 launched in India with Helio P70, 3GB RAM at Rs 8,999/-

Realme 3 is finally here in India as it was launched today on March 04 at 12:30 p.m. in New Delhi, India. Madhav Sheth, Realme’s CEO, spearheaded the stage during the launch and quoted a price tag of just RS 8,999/- for its entry-level Realme 3 model.

According to the statistics, the device will sport a 6.2-inch HD+ display with waterdrop-shaped notch with a 1520×720 pixels resolution. The device will operate on MediaTek Helio P70 octa-core SoC manufactured using a 12nm process and basically has two variants i.e. 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB. Realme 3 will have a dedicated expandable memory slot supporting up to 256GB since it is a budget smartphone.

Further, it will run on ColorOS 6 based on Android Pie 9.0 that has been optimized to work flawlessly on the device. The device will sport a dual-camera setup at the back with a 13MP primary lens with LED flash, 1.12micrometer pixel size and an aperture of f/1.8 while the secondary cam with the sport a 2Mp depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.4. What’s exciting about the optics mounted on the new Realme 2 is the fact that the device will have Chroma Boost technology which is known to enhance dynamic range, better exposure and shadows, and AI-based scene recognition system that will make it a desirable smartphone at the cost half of what Huawei quoted with its Honor Play, Xiaomi quoted with its flagship Poco F1, and others.

Finally, the front cam housed in a waterdrop-shaped notch sports a 13MP lens supporting an aperture of f/2.0 with AI-based functionalities, group selfie mode, and more to gaze your eyes upon. Finally, the device will be powered by a colossal 4,230 mAh battery which is larger than the one seen on Samsung Galaxy S10+ and Huawei Mate 20 Pro which are both flagship devices.

Per the pricing released during the launch, Realme 3 with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage will be priced at Rs 8,999/- in India while the larger 4GB RAM & 64GB internal storage variant will fetch a price tag of Rs 10,999/-.
