Merely three months after the debut of Narzo series, Realme is now all set to launch the successors to the original lineup along with a new Pro variant this time. The Realme Narzo 20, Narzo 20 Pro, and Narzo 20A will be launched in India next week. But lucky for us, we do not have to wait till launch in order to get a clear idea of what the company is hiding under its sleeve with its second generation of the lineup as all these devices were an active part of the rumour mill for weeks now.

Realme Narzo Series: Build, Design, and Display

As mentioned earlier, the series is composed of three devices including the Narzo 20, Narzo 20 Pro, and an entry-level Narzo 20A. Just like the last year, but a new Pro-variant this year is a welcome move. Realme invited its fans to check-out their latest mid-range lineup before the official launch. Realme CEO Madhav Sheth posted the photos of fans getting their hands on these devices and one of the photos shows the Narzo 20 Pro in blue colour variant with the light streaks shaped ‘V’ on the back of the device.

This whole V-pattern back is not new to us, as we have seen the similar back designs on the Honor View series in the past. But the pattern looks sick though! Moreover this is similar to what we have seen with the company’s own Realme 6 Pro but with a different shape. We are not really sure whether the back is made of the glass or just like most of the budget-smartphones’ back it is made of plastic. On the top left corner, we get to see the rectangular module with a quad-camera setup accompanied by a flash.

This setup looks familiar to me, as we have seen the similar camera arrangement embedded in a rectangular block during OnePlus Nord leak-streak. Moving on, we also get to see the Narzo designed by Realme branding on the bottom back of the device. In the same image, you can also see another variant from Narzo series placed upside-down which comes with a traditional camera module with triple camera setup. This device could be the Narzo 20A, but it is too soon to say anything.

There is no sign of the rear-mounted fingerprints on both these devices and as far as the design of the Narzo 20 (vanilla) is concerned, we expect it to come with a square-shaped camera module and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Realme Narzo 20A and Narzo 20 will come in two colour variants that are Victory Blue and Glory Silver. The Narzo 20 Pro on the other hand comes in Black Ninja and White Knight colour variants.

According to the recent rumours and leaks, the vanilla Narzo 20 will come with a 6.5-inch display with an HD+ resolution of  720 x 1600 pixels and 88.7% screen to body ratio. The 20A will come with the same resolution found on the vanilla variant but with a larger 89.8% screen to body ratio. The Pro variant, as expected would be worlds apart from these two variants. Although the display size remains the same the resolution bumps up to 1080 x 2400 pixels and comes with a 90 Hz display. All three variants in the Narzo 20 series comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Realme Narzo Series: Performance, Storage, and Software

The Realme Narzo 20A is rumoured to arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC coupled with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of onboard storage, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of onboard storage with support for microSD storage expansion. The vanilla Narzo 20 comes with a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC coupled with 4 GB/ 64 GB and 4 GB/ 128 GB storage configurations. The Narzo 20 Pro comes with MediaTek G95 SoC coupled with 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storages.

Just like any other recent Realme devices, the Narzo 20 series will also run Android 10 out of the box with Realme UI on top. Realme UI is a feature-rich interface which comes with a bundle-load of features including system-wide dark mode, dual-space, App Lock, and a lot more.

Realme Narzo Series: Camera and Battery

Before you expect any serious camera specifications, let me tell you that the series will not go beyond the mid-range segment. The Narzo 20A comes with a triple rear camera setup including a 12 MP f/1.8 main camera with HDR and Chroma boost coupled with a 2 MP monochromatic lens and 2 MP f/2.4 retro lens. On the front, we can expect to see an 8 MP selfie shooter. The Realme Narzo 20 is supposed to come with a triple rear camera setup but with better configurations.

For starters, the primary camera on the Narzo 20 is expected to be a 48 MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and 6P lens. The secondary lens on the Narzo 20 is 118-degree field of view ultra-wide unit of 8 MP and the tertiary is a 2 MP macro unit. The Pro variant also keeps both the 48 MP primary unit and 8 MP ultra-wide but comes with a 2 MP macro and monochromatic sensors. The Narzo 20 Pro comes with a 16 MP front-facing camera for selfies.

As for the batteries, we are not sure of what the Narzo 20A packs. But the vanilla Narzo 20 will pack a whopping 6000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging and the Narzo 20 Pro packs a 4500 mAh battery with 65W fast charging. The Realme Narzo 20 series is expected to be exclusive to the Indian market. The series will be officially unveiled on September 21st at 12.30 PM IST which is confirmed by the company. There is no word around the pricing of these smartphones yet.
