Realme is getting ready for two different sets of flagship smartphone for the year 2021. The one will be from Realme X-series, i.e., Realme X9 Pro, and a new Race series’ Realme Race Pro, the first device from the new flagship series. Realme already announced the full spec-sheet of Realme X9 Pro, which is going to feature the new Dimensity 1299 SoC from Mediatek, whereas the new Realme Race Pro is supposed to feature the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC.
Realme eagerly announced the spec-sheet of both Realme X9 Pro and Realme Race Pro, comparing it side by side. Although Realme already announced at the Qualcomm Tech Summit that the new Race series smartphones will be powered by Snapdragon 888 SoC and above. Starting with Realme Race Pro and then the other upcoming generations of the Race series of smartphones.
But as the title suggests, the main focus of the article is going to be the 160 Hz refresh rate display which is being implemented in the Realme Race Pro. Well, we can say that if it is true, it is going to be an ultra-smooth experience with the 160 Hz display refresh rate. None of the smartphone brands implemented the tech yet, we already have seen the 144 Hz refresh rate display in a bunch of smartphones like Asus ROG Phone 3, Nubia RedMagic 5G, iQOO Neo 3, etc.
Realme Race Pro Specifications
As the chart suggests, the Realme Race Pro is going to feature a 6.8-inch OLED display with a display resolution of 3200×1440 pixels (with a 20:9 aspect ratio) and a whopping 160 Hz refresh rate. The display ought to house a punch-hole for the selfie camera, the specification of the camera sensor is yet not disclosed.
Under the hood, the smartphone is going to feature the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, paired with up to 12 GB LDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB of onboard storage. The SoC is made up of eight cores, 1xCortex-x1 clocked at 2.84 GHz, 3xCortex-A78 clocked at 2.42 GHz, and finally, 4xCortex-A55 clocked at 1.8 GHz, paired with Adreno 600 GPU for a better graphical experience.
In the camera department, the Realme Race Pro will feature a triple rear camera setup and a single punch-hole camera at the front for selfies. The triple rear-camera setup includes a primary 64-megapixel sensor, a secondary 13-megapixel sensor, and finally a tertiary 13-megapixel camera sensor. The primary is a bit downgraded from the Realme X9 Pro, as it has a 64-megapixel sensor unlike the 108-megapixel sensor in X9 Pro.
The device is fueled using a 5000 mAh battery which can be charged using the 125-watt super-fast charger. Other than that the device will run on Realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11. And the launch is scheduled for the first quarter of 2021.
