Amidst the chaos, we saw a slim phone hanging mid-air at the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event on Wednesday. Dubbed as Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, it is just 6.4mm in thickness making it one of the slimmest ever. The mysterious device did steal the show at the event even though the entire Samsung Galaxy S25 Series was launched as the focal point. Did we get your adrenaline flowing? Let’s dive in a bit to know more.

After waiting almost a year, Samsung finally launched its Samsung Galaxy S25 Series at the Galaxy Unpacked 2025, and it was huge. However, what took the limelight was the Galaxy S25 Edge, previously known as Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, offering the same set of logic board, frame, and camera while shrinking the phone’s overall thickness to just 6.4mm.

Yep, the phone is just 6.4mm in thickness making it one of the slimmest in the business. The phone was teased at the Unpacked 2025 event and slated to launch sometime in May this year around the same period when Apple is launching its iPhone 17 Air — a slim iPhone, of sorts.

Unfortunately, none of the attendees at Unpacked 2025 were allowed to hold the phone and that includes us as well. Apparently, we don’t have any information about the device, and that provides for its specs or pricing as well.

The phone is much slimmer than the actual Galaxy S25 Series. For perspective, Galaxy S25 is 7.2mm in thickness; S25+ is 7.3mm, and S25 Ultra is 8.2mm in thickness. On the other hand, Galaxy S25 Edge will be 6.4mm housing a dual camera setup at the back and that’s quite insane.

The South Korean giant is expected to bring the same level of performance on the Edge. It includes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite and 12GB of RAM taken from Galaxy S25 Series. That’s pretty much what we know about the upcoming phone so far. WE will be waiting for the Mobile World Congress happening in March 2025 to get more clarity of the specs so watch out this space for more.
