Xiaomi 17 series is adding new phones this month
According to a tipster, Yogesh Brar, Xiaomi is all set to launch a trio—the 17T, 17T Pro, and Max—with varying specs. For instance, the Xiaomi 17T will bring a 6.59” AMOLED panel with a Dimensity 8500 Ultra SoC under the hood. There’s a 6,500mAh battery on-board and a triple rear camera setup at the back. There are talks happening to bring Xiaomi 17 Max to global markets including India
17T can be a hit in India if priced right, but before that we have Redmi Turbo..
The Xiaomi 17T Pro, a slightly better variant than the vanilla 17T, will have a Dimensity 9500 SoC, the flagship-cadre chipset. It will come paired with a 6.83” 144Hz display, the same as the OnePlus 15T. We have a 7,000mAh battery under the hood plus 100W wired fast charging. The phone is likely to be pegged at EUR999 (or $1,170) for the 12GB+512GB, although it remains to be seen if this is the actual price for this configuration or if we have a different base config altogether.
Finally, we have the Xiaomi 17 Max, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC-powered phone with a 6.9” flat AMOLED 2K display, as tipped by Xiaomi Phones on Weibo. There’s a massive 8,000mAh battery under the hood, plus a 100W rumored fast wired charging. We have heard about a 200MP Leica primary cam making it to the 17 Max, along with a 3x periscope telephoto zoom and a 50MP ultrawide snapper. The phone is reportedly available for pre-order in China, although its shipping inside the home country is awaited.
