Xiaomi just introduced a new smartphone in its Redmi A-series. Dubbed the Redmi A3 in India, the phone’s design resembles the upcoming flagship Xiaomi 14 Ultra which uses a circular camera island. There’s an all-new Halo design and leather-textured back panel, although it uses plastic instead of actual leather material, as evidenced by the pricing. Xiaomi Redmi A3, in a nutshell, looks a lot like the Xiaomi 14 series with a humongous circular camera bump right in the middle. You get a 90Hz 6.7” LCD panel at the front with HD+ resolution and protection from Corning Gorilla Glass 3. There’s a Helio G36 SoC under the hood, paired with up to 6GB of RAM (plus 6GB of virtual RAM) and 64GB/128GB of storage options.

On the software front, we have Android 14 pre-loaded. Reports suggest it could be an Android Go edition, although we have yet to get official confirmation on the same.

The phone has a dual 8MP camera with an AI lens at the back and a 5MP camera at the front. The Xiaomi Redmi A3 uses a 5,000mAh battery paired with 10W charging technology using a USB-C port. The features onboard include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, GPS, Bluetooth v5.3, Wi-Fi 5, dual-SIM, and 4G support.

The Xiaomi Redmi A3 pricing starts at INR 7,299 for the base variant, and it will be available on Mi.com, Amazon, and Flipkart from February 23rd onwards.
