Before we can give into the ‘What to expect with Galaxy Unpacked Summer 2024’, let’s see when it is happening.

Usually, Galaxy Unpacked Summer events take place in August such as Unpacked 2021 was on August 11. However, Samsung booked July 26 as the date for Unpacked Summer 2023 where we got products such as Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5. Cut to now, as the S24’s Unpacked event closed earlier in mid-January than before, we are hoping Galaxy Unpacked Summer 2024 to happen early as well.

According to the reports, we are seeing a July 10 date for the event as Samsung reportedly wants to deliver products before the Olympics in Paris kicks off. Now that’s taken care of, let’s check out the product lineup expected to arrive at Galaxy Unpacked Summer 2024 including the leaked (but later pixelated) images as published earlier on tipster Even Blass’ X account.

Samsung Galaxy Ring

A leak claims that you only need to know one piece of personal information to order a Galaxy Ring.

Samsung showed off this futuristic gadget aka Samsung Galaxy Ring at January’s Unpacked event followed by MWC this year. Surprisingly, it never went public but seems like the upcoming Unpacked Summer 2024 stands as a perfect avenue for the Samsung Galaxy Ring to make its debut. Slated to be available for pre-orders immediately followed by shipping in August, Galaxy Ring is a direct rival to the $300 Oura Ring fitness tracker.

We already know that there are nine different sizes and three colorways available with the Galaxy Ring. The wearable fitness tracker is touted to host a tonne of health tracking features including skin temperature, period, respiratory rate, sleep tracking as well as ECG and blood flow measurement as per various sources. It is compatible with Samsung Health allowing users to utilize a host of smart features on-board Galaxy Ring.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 5G

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 will be at the center of the upcoming Unpacked Summer 2024 event for sure. It will succeed last year’s Z Fold5 as the most premium foldable smartphone out there sharing space with Z Flip5. Rumors suggest we will get to see a boxy overall appearance and a squarish cover display unlike previously for which the predecessor was heavily mocked for.

Z Fold6 is likely to preserve the same camera setup as its predecessor i.e., 50MP primary plus 12MP ultrawide and a 10MP telephoto setup at the back. What will be interesting to see is how Samsung differentiates between the standard Galaxy Z Fold6 and the purported Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim, Z Fold6 Ultra, and an affordable Galaxy Z Fold6 FE. Yep, there are a lot of devices in the pipeline courtesy of various tipsters, although we will have to wait until the mystery clears itself.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 5G

Next up, we have a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 5G in the house. The upcoming clamshell-styled phone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in most markets while some might still see an Exynos 2400 edition. There’s 12GB RAM in the pipeline although the standard might be 8+256GB and 8+512GB of storage. The flip foldable phone is likely housing a 4,000mAh battery although on FCC listing mentions 3,790mAh.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 5G is likely getting a larger cover display at 3.9” as opposed to 3.4” on the Flip5. It gives it a much larger external display compared to Motorola Razr+’ 3.6”, Moreover, we should get a 120Hz refresh rate on this display. Finally, reports are suggesting Samsung move up the ladder by integrating a 50MP primary shooter on the Z Flip6 instead of the 12MP that we see currently. Overall, reports suggest Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 will have an aluminum frame and an ironflex trademark for better durability.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Series

Next up, we have the successor to Watch 6 dubbed Galaxy Watch 7 (obviously). These will have two sizes i.e., 40mm and 44mm probably housing a square display ditching the circular one we have seen and known the Galaxy Watches for. There’s an ‘Ultra’ version of Watch 7 as well with a 47mm casing, and a 1.5” AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. We have heard about a blood sugar level measurement sensor onboard Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra in the works as well.

Moving on, we have a 3nm Exynos W940 SoC powering the Watch 7 that will translate into better performance and greater power efficiency. A sleep apnea detection feature is likely in the pipeline as well although let’s take it with a pinch of salt.

Samsung Galaxy Watch FE

If you think Galaxy Watch 7/ 7 Ultra will be expensive for you, watch out for an affordable Galaxy Watch FE. It likely has a 1.2” Super AMOLED panel, a 247mAh battery with a purported battery life of 30 hours, and an IP68 water and dust-resistant rating to name a few. Some sources mention Galaxy Watch FE will see designs identical to Galaxy Watch 4 (2021) although let’s keep our fingers crossed as it is still too early to comment on the same.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds Pro 3

Samsung Galaxy Buds2 TrueTech 2

Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds Pro 3 haven’t seen many leaks lately. Evan Blass posted some pixelated images showcasing upcoming devices at Unpacked Summer 2024 that don’t show the Buds 3 series as well.

In any case, Buds 3 and 3 Pro are expected to make their launches soon. These will have ANC, IP57 certification, Bluetooth v5.4, SmartThings Find integration, and 360 Audio among others. Do note that ANC and better battery life are expected to be limited to Buds Pro 3 only. Apart from that, both will arrive in two colorways — white and silver. These truly wireless earbuds outdo the Buds 2 series that were released in 2021 making Buds 3 series a much-anticipated sequel.

There’s something called ‘Blade Lights’ onboard Buds Pro 3 that we’ll get to see. It could be LED lights illuminating throughout the stem on the buds, although that remains to be cleared at the time of writing this.

Wrapping Up

That would be our take on what you can expect from the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked Summer 2024 event. It is scheduled to happen sometime in July or August, however, we cannot be certain since the official dates weren’t out at the time of writing this. As you can see, we will get our hands on a tonne of hardware updates at the event including the next-gen Buds 3 series, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 series, and Galaxy Watch 7 Series among others.
