Apple sells over 130,000 units of iPhone 11 series on launch day in South Korea

It has been over a month after Apple launched its iPhone 11 lineup in the United States. Friday – October 25th marks the day when Apple launched its iPhone 11 series in South Korea selling over 130,000 units on the first day of launch.

According to the Korea Herald, these figures on based on several new iPhones activations in South Korea and includes iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max with 4G LTE that was launched in South Korean on Friday targeting customers who were looking for premium phones.

Turns out that these figures are almost 30% more than what last year’s trio iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR were sold in the country. Comparatively, South Korea-based Samsung Galaxy Note 10 sold over 220,000 units on the first day of its launch in August.

According to the Industry insiders, South Korean smartphone users are fairly influenced by the response dropped by iPhone 11 series in the United States and Japan. Here, users can pick iPhone 11 which is an affordable variant sold in the country at $842 or 990,000 won while the higher models go upwards of 2.03 million won, although there are many subsidies and subscription plans that are associated with it.
