Huawei has been spending billions of dollars on their R&D projects. One of the recent development from the brand is the GPU Turbo feature. The brand, about a month ago, announced this new technology which increases device performance by 60% while reducing power use by 30%.
The GPU Turbo tech will change the way we look at smartphone graphics. This piece of tech will significantly increase the Graphics Processing Efficiency on the smartphones with which you can play graphics-rich games without affecting battery life that much.
The brand, today, announced the list of devices that will be getting this new feature. They have not just announced the device name but expected timeline of the updates.
There are fourteen different devices overall which will be getting this piece of tech. Huawei P20, P20 Pro, and Huawei Mate 10 series will be the first that will be getting this update next month. If you’re not aware, the GPU Turbo tech is already present in Honor 9i and soon will be available for various other Huawei as well as Honor devices.
As of now, the games which will support this device PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. We’re expecting more games to follow the suit in the future.
If you’re not aware, Huawei is also working on their first gaming smartphone which also will come with the GPU Turbo technology. There is no word on the availability, pricing, and specifications as of now. All we are aware of is that the device will see the official launch later in the year 2018. The brand also announced that they are working on the foldable smartphone which will be revealed somewhere in the next year.
This is not the first time that the brand delivered a breakthrough technology so it would be great to see how well the GPU Turbo tech performs in reality.
