As we near the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, leaks spew like black clouds out of factory chimneys. This time around, we see Samsung spewing video teasers alongside, adding fuel to the flames of hype. The teasers embedded below suggest an aggressive successor to the Galaxy Note 8, featuring faster performance, larger battery, and bigger storage options.
The first short teaser hints at a battery life that, according to Samsung, will last longer than competitions out there in the market. This shows us that Samsung is all geared to proceed in the innovation direction, and exit the safeguarding train. Samsung has also established a tagline: “Battery can’t keep up? A lot can change in a day”, from which, the latter part is a motif in the rest of the teasers. furthermore, it ends with the date to the Unpacked Event, being hosted on 9th of August.

Running parallel, previous rumors and leaks have hinted at a Note 9 variant featuring 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The phone is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor, a bigger battery, 6GB to 8GB of RAM and the usual Samsung Super AMOLED display panel.
Coming to recent leaks, WinFuture reports that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 would no longer require the DeX Pad to transit into a desktop format. It also claims that the phone would no longer require a USB-C port or a display adapter to connect to a larger display. Another report from the same site reveals a radically redesigned S Pen for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, along with a few cases and cover renders for the phone. (report 1, report 2 and featured image)
Apart from the official teasers, according to the infamous leaker Roland Quandt, the preorders for Note 9 will begin on August 23, 2018. Preordered devices will be delivered on the next day, 24th August 2018, which also happens to be the day the phone officially hits the shelves for online and offline sales.
