Honor X8 Appears on TENAA with Renders and Specifications

This is the second instance that Honor ARE-AL00 has appeared on TENAA, a Chinese certification authority. But this time, it isn’t just a few details but instead, it is a broad list of specifications and photos accompanied with it too.

Honor ARE-AL00 which is speculated to be named as Honor X8 or Honor 8S or even Honor X8 Max. The phablet has dimensions of 177.57 x 86.24 x 8.13mm and weighs around 210 grams.

Considering it as a budget smartphone, it has a Kirin SoC clocked at 1.8 GHz processor bundled with 4GB RAM or as per GSMArena, it could have a Snapdragon 636 or 660 SoC. Further, it has a 64GB internal memory that can be further expanded to 256GB using microSD card.

The phablet sports a 7.2-inch display with 2,244 x 1,080 pixels. It’s display size and battery capacity that is 4,900 mAh resembles much like 6.9-inch Xiaomi Mi Max 3 which has a 5,500 mAh battery. With 4,900 mAh battery powering the phablet, it could last for at least two days of on-screen duration which is something everyone needs nowadays considering that battery life has become one of the aspects that decides the fate if the user would agree to buy a smartphone or not.

About the optics, it comes with an 8MP front sensor and a 16+2MP rear dual-camera setup with single tone LED flash. It has a tiny notch that has the front camera and supposedly all other sensors included, it resembles upcoming Vivo X17. It will run on Android 8.1 Oreo OS and will have all the connectivity options that come with latest smartphones such as Wi-Fi hotspot, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth V4.2 LE, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz) and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, etc.

As aforementioned, the Honor ARE-AL00 can be named as Honor X8 (successor to Honor X7) or as Honor 8S or a plus-sized Honor X8 Max. The phablet will be available in Red, Blue, and Black colors and will be released shortly, though there is no official announcement regarding the date of release as of now.
