Well, we already have the iPhone 12 series in stores, and millions of units are already sold. Turns out Apple has refreshed the series by adding a new color option i.e. Purple. You can avail of the new purple color variant of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini as announced at the Apple Spring Loaded 2021 event held virtually on April 20th.

The new purple color variants will be available for pre-order on Friday i.e. April 23rd and the units will begin shipping on April 30. Apple did a great job putting the aircraft-grade aluminum frame and the back panel dyed in a majestic purple color that shimmers and shines like no other.

As people are eying towards the upcoming iPhone 13 series due to arrive this September (if all goes well), Apple did something new by launching a new color variant six months after the series was first announced. You can get yourself a Magsafe Leather Case and a new Leather Sleeve clad in Deep Violet color that goes well with the purple color variant iPhone 12/ 12 mini.

As it goes, nothing else has changed so no specifications have been altered. It is just a new color aside from the 5 colors that are originally available on both iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini. Get your hands on the new purple color iPhone 12 starting at $829 while you can buy it via a carrier for just $799. The iPhone 12 mini is available at $729 as a standalone package or you can subscribe to a telecom carrier to get it at $699.

As it goes without saying, the new color variant isn’t the only product that was launched at the Apple Spring Loaded 2021 event. Apple also announced a new iMac with M1 and seven different color variants, Apple AirTags, a new Podcast service, a new iPad Pro with M1, iOS 14.5, and an upgraded Apple TV 4K that you can read about all here on True-Tech.
