Nubia is gearing up for its next launch dubbed the flagship Redmi Magic 8 series that will be making its debut in China in the coming weeks. The pro model aka Red Magic 8 Pro recently made a brief appearance on the TENAA certificate website before the listing was removed although that didn’t stop the keen-eyed from capturing a screenshot of the device which will be among the first to get Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood.

Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro appears on TENAA

A report published by Gizmochina mentions a Nubia smartphone which is likely Red Magic 8 Pro as it made its appearance on TENAA. However, the listing was quickly removed due to unknown reasons but it was already too late. The screenshot of the listing went live on Weibo giving a peak into what to expect with the world’s first gaming device with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood.

The TENAA listing points out model number NX729J that we have seen on 3C certification last month as well. Fortunately, the listing does spill out information about the upcoming Red Magic 8 Pro including the specifications that are likely to make their cut.

Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro Specifications (Rumored)

The purported TENAA listing gives more information about the device than you can guess. The phone will sport a 6.8” OLED panel with a 2480×1116 pixels resolution. There’s an under-the-display front cam with no punch-hole as mentioned by Gadgets360 as well.

Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro is also the first gaming smartphone to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 so we will see a much better smartphone than the predecessor. There’s 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB of RAM as per the screenshots although we will have to wait for official confirmation.

We have a 16MP front under-the-display cam flanked with a triple 50MP plus 8MP ultrawide plus 2MP snapper. Although the specifications might look amazing, you need to know that it is a gaming phone and thus, cameras aren’t a priority.

Moving further, we are aware that the phone will get multiple storage variants. The listing itself mentions 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB of storage. There are 4,900mAh and 5,720mAh battery configurations as per two separate mentions although again, we will have to wait for more concrete specs. Finally, a GSMArena report mentions 165W wired charging that should juice up the device in mere minutes.
