It’s official now. Samsung has sent out invites to media houses including TrueTech for the Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event that it has scheduled for August 11. This is when we will finally get to see the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 unveiling for the first time after a series of leaks and reports have already mushroomed on the internet. The virtual event is scheduled for August 11 at 7:30 PM IST and here’s what we know about the event so far.
The Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event on August 11 carries the tagline “Get ready to Unfold” which is a clear indication that it will be all about the foldable smartphones dubbed as Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is likely to remain put with the predecessor in many specifications. It is likely to have a larger outer display though. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 will have S Pen support since as of now, only the Note series has S Pen support so it will be a major upgrade, to be honest.
Both the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 will have different price tags and will target different audiences. It is speculated that the price tags on both the upcoming foldable phones will be less than the predecessors namely Galaxy Z Flip 2 and Galaxy Z Fold 2.
At the August 11 Galaxy Unpacked event, the South Korean juggernaut will release the Galaxy Watch 4 as well which will be the first to run on Wear OS that Samsung developed with Google. The two tech giants unified both wearOS from Google and Tizen from Samsung to create a platform that maximizes performance, enhances the battery life, and focuses mainly on the developer community.
Apart from that, the Galaxy Buds 2, or as it is at least known by now, is expected to make its debut too. There’s a Samsung Galaxy S21 FE in the works too so we could get a glimpse at that smartphone as well although we are being too optimistic here.
