It is worth noting that LG is developing three new monitors in its lineup but there is a new report which reveals that these new monitors from LG are unbranded which means they might not be a part of LG’s lineup.

It is also known that LG has been developing monitors for Apple and it is possible that these three new monitors could be for Apple. There are also similarities in the models that LG is developing with the models that Apple will be releasing very soon. Because the three monitors being developed by LG are of 24”, 27” and 32” display size.

We already know that Apple sells a 24-inch as well as a 27-inch iMac which means that these new LG monitors could well be the 24-inch and the 27-inch iMac with Apple’s custom silicon inside it. Along with that, the 32-inch monitor could be the Apple Pro Display XDR and the leaker says that the 32-inch monitor has a custom Apple Silicon fitted inside it.

This leaker has a Twitter account @dylandkt and his track record with Apple leaks has been pretty accurate so far. The leaker also says that these monitors are “encased in unbranded enclosures” as well as the fact that these monitors are meant for “usage as external monitors”.

The above information makes it pretty clear that these are the new iMacs as well as the Pro Display XDR. Along with that, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman also stated that Apple is planning a new consumer-level standalone display that will not have a huge price tag as the Pro Display XDR which costs $4999. This is in order to sell their new display to the masses.

The report also claims that these new monitors have a 120Hz ProMotion variable refresh rate and that they are equipped with mini-LED technology which means that the next generation of iMacs will have a Mini LED panel inside them. The interesting thing, however, is that 9to5Mac reported about a possible Apple Pro Display XDR that comes with an Apple A13 chip and not the M1 chip.

We will have to wait and see how Apple plans to launch these latest displays in their lineup and it might be possible that after 2016, we have external monitors from Apple once again since they stopped selling their Thunderbolt displays.
