Vivo has added another smartphone in its Y-series and this time, it has a Snapdragon 680 SoC which makes it the first smartphone with the chip. The Vivo Y32 is a successor to Y31 (of course) and has made it to China albeit its availability and global launch date is shrouded in mystery at least at the time of writing this.
Vivo Y32 Pricing and Availability
The Vivo Y32 launched in China with a price tag starting at CNY1,399 or $220 in its home country. The 4G-powered phone is available in two colorways – Harumi Blue and Foggy Night. Unfortunately, there’s no update on its date of sale in China let alone its global availability which has been kept under wraps as well.
Vivo Y32 Specifications
The Vivo Y32 is the first smartphone to arrive with a Snapdragon 680 SoC. It is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and this is the only configuration available. You can use its microSD card slot to expand the memory up to 1TB which is awesome. Plus, there’s up to 4GB of virtual RAM that the system can add to its arsenal when demanded.
There’s a 6.51-inch 60Hz HD+ LCD panel at the front with a waterdrop-shaped notch housing a 8MP front-facing camera. The bezels are usually sized with thick chin on-board. You get a dual rear camera setup housing a 13MP+2MP macro unit with a rectangular camera bump.
The device has Android 11 software on-board with OriginOS 1.0 out-of-the-box. You get Multi-Turbo 5.5 and Game Box 10.0 as well. There’s a side-mounted fingerprint rear that lets you unlock the phone in a jiffy. You do get a facial recognition system on-board as well.
About the battery pack, there’s a 5000 mAh battery pack with 18W fast charging tech that you can juice up using USB-C port. The battery is advertised to offer 13 hours of video watching, 13 hours of gaming, or 143 hours of music playback. You don’t get 5G connectivity on-board but you get Bluetooth v5.0 and dual-band Wi-Fi on-board.
