Apple iPhone 14 series is slated to arrive sometime in September or October this year. With the dates underwrap just like most other details about the upcoming series, rumours are stronger than ever as we get closer to the launch. The latest speculation will entice you as it’s about the pricing on the vanilla iPhone 14 which is likely to be priced the same as iPhone 13.

If you follow Apple news, you’d know it has been hiking the pricing on its next-gen iPhones when compared to the last-gen. The vanilla iPhone 13 fetched a tag of $799 which means the vanilla iPhone 14 should be pricier, keeping up with the trend. There’s a strong hold on pricing at $829.99 for the base model but you could be wrong.
As per people who know, Apple has decided to cap the pricing for the base model. We are looking at a price tag of $799 (similar to iPhone 13) as per a user on Naver who has referred to the decision made by top executives at Apple.
Although there’s stagnating demand, constant supply chain snarls and inflation, Apple has reputedly capped the pricing on the vanilla iPhone 14 in order to attract more buyers. Logically, an increased pricing on the vanilla model and exclusion of iPhone 14 mini from the series, would make the vanilla model albeit more unaffordable.
Note that the cap on pricing as speculated is only reserved for the vanilla model in case it is true. Other models are likely to have their organic price hike as per the trend when compared to their predecessors. For context, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to fetch $1,099 and $1,199 respectively.
Apple iPhone 14 series is slated to launch this fall. The non-Pro models will be powered by Apple A15 Bionic chipset improved with newer modem and internal design. On the other hand, the Pro models will pack in the upcoming Apple A16 Bionic also built on. 5nm node as the A15. It remains to be seen just how powerful the upcoming chip is when compared to the last year’s.
