The iPhone 7, was announced only a few months ago, and it has already managed to outsell its competitors in the premium category. Although the iPhone 7 boasts a better processor and an upgraded camera over its predecessor, it had nothing extravagantly new to offer in terms of design. To make it simple, the iPhone 7 looks just like the iPhone 6S that came before it, and the iPhone 6 that came before them. Those who were holding out for a radical design (including me) have been left a little disappointed. But trust me, the disappointment is only going to last until Apple announces the next iPhone, the iPhone 8.
According to a close source, the Cupertino company is considering a complete redesign on their upcoming iPhone 8. Adding to that, 2017 also marks the 10th anniversary of Apple iPhone, which was first announced by Steve Jobs on January 9, 2007, and released later on June 29. Based on latest rumors, the iPhone 8 will boast an edge-less display anchored by a curved OLED display. Many crazy artists took advantage of these rumored details and made their versions of how the upcoming iPhone would look like. Among the thousands of iPhone concepts that surfaced online, there was one video that would make anyone who watched, wish it was legit. Check out the video below.
The video was uploaded on YouTube by a channel named “ConceptsiPhone.” The iPhone in the video looks like a hybrid of an iPhone 7 and a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, featuring a bezel-less display. The video shows how Apple could convert the area under the screen to something like the TouchBar that we’ve seen on the latest MacBook Pro, by integrating the home button onto the screen. Besides that, it also hints the unlimited situations Apple, and third-party apps could take advantage of such a supplementary display, just like the Galaxy Edge series.
Well, we would suggest you not to get too excited over the video, as it is just a concept by a random guy and may not reflect the actual iPhone 8. If things don’t change much from the “traditional” Apple way, we’re hoping the company to launch the phone somewhere in September, which is a pretty long time from now. Featuring a complete redesign, the upcoming iPhone 8 is expected to create new records in the smartphone market.
