Recently there were rumors about an upcoming iPhone 6C with a 4 inch screen like the “older” iPhones. In the rumors was stated that the 6C would be revealed in September this year, but we are already getting a first look at the device, the new device features a slightly tweaked design and a few extras.
A pair of images from the source of the leak are showing the rear of the new iPhone 6C, and they confirm a clear difference between the new device and the original iPhone 5C. One of the first clear differences is that the camera flash has a bigger cutout and at the speakers are now located at the base of the device.
Based on the previous leaks, the iPhone 6C could have many of the new high-end features from the latest Apple devices. That could mean that we are going to see a iPhone 6C with a TouchID fingerprint reader, NFC for Apple Pay, the last Apple A9 processor and a layer of Gorilla glass. If that will be the thing at the 6C, the 6C will be a good choice for the people who are happy with a 4-inch screen and for people who don’t need the latest hardware when they’re buying a phone. Of course it can be a fake mockup, as you can just take an iPhone 5C shell and drill some extra and bigger holes. But hopefully that isn’t the case, but we will only know that if Apple is going to release the device later this year.
As always you need to take a rumor with a bit of skepticism, but after today’s leak it is getting harder to deny the possibility of an iPhone 6C release later this year.
