Highlights
  • Motorola Edge 70 is likely to have a slimmer profile thanks to the leaked official-looking poster.
  • Motorola has partnered with Pantone for the colorways - the one shown here is a green colored hue with lime green accents on the camera lenses.
  • It won't reach the height of Galaxy S25 Edge or Air in terms of performance or thickness, however, the mid-range segment comes with its benefits.

Looks like there’s one more brand entering the ‘slim’ phone market. Dubbed the Motorola Edge 70, the phone has just been teased by Evan Blass on X, showcasing its ultra-slim profile and Pantone-branded colorways as it prepares for its imminent launch.

Motorola Edge 70 leaked poster was spotted a few months ago, and to be honest, it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary. However, the latest image shows the phone is a rather interesting avatar. Clad in lime green accents on the camera bump and a Pantone-branding at the back. The phone appears in a leaked manner on tipster Evan Blass’ X account

Motorola Edge 70 leaked poster shows a sleek design

The tagline in the leaked poster says “What’s Your Edge?” which is a nod to its series, i.e., Edge. However, what’s interesting is the fact that the phone looks slim. We have seen older Edge models, and they don’t come near what’s regarded as slim; however, the Edge 70 could be on the brink of a debut in that realm.

Another tagline on the said ‘official teaser image’ says “impossibly thin and incredibility touch”. Apart from Motorola’s Razr series, all the phones have been beefy. The last-gen Edge 60 was 7.9mm thick at its best. For context, the latest Apple iPhone Air is 5.6mm thick, which means Motorola has a long course to traverse.

However, the latest Motorola Edge 70 leaked poster shows a seemingly slim phone. It could be possible that Motorola was able to squeeze everything into a slimmer profile. It won’t rival the flagships — Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and iPhone Air, although it will make a splash in the mid-range segment for sure.

Pantone partnership returns

The Pantone branding doesn’t leave anything for doubt — Motorola has partnered with Pantone yet again for the colorways, such as the one in a greenish hue with lime green accents on all four cutouts on the camera bump. We will surely see more hues once the launch is near.

Motorola Edge 70 will be a mid-ranger, and with a slim profile in place, it could mint gold once the phone is out in the market. Edge 70 is likely to be slightly under 7mm as per reports, in which case, it could undercut the aforementioned rivals, even though they possess more firepower under the hood. Of course, the affordability is on the side of Motorola, and thus, a 7mm thin phone with mid-range specs won’t hurt.
