OxygenOS Finally released by OnePlus
After a long and impatient wait for the new operating system – OxygenOS, which was supposed to be released in March end, is now launched. The company promised not to pass the deadline and if they did, they’d giveaway 5 OnePlus Ones for Free. Unluckily/luckily, they missed the deadline and had to giveaway 5 OnePlus Ones. Here’s what so good, the company didn’t keep the customers wait for too long either, the tech giant has now unveiled their own, stock Android OS, OxygenOS which is based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.
OnePlus officially updates their forums and their website with an introduction to their creativity; OxygenOS! As moving far from Cyanogen, the android stealers, OxygenOS page states
“OxygenOS, a Pure Android experience optimized for the OnePlus One.”
Now, users can experience the beauty of the stock android experience on their beloved OnePlus One. Not to mention, they’ve also put up an installation guide.
So diving deeper, OnePlus’ OxygenOS has many simple features to offer, it’s quite notable for the OnePlus Team to Finnish working on a rom in such a small amount of time. It comes with off-screen gestures, quick settings etc.
The lock screen on OxygenOS is quite customisable and also the widely known feature, to be able to switch between hardware/software navigation keys. The quick settings offers users to remove, re-arrange and add tiles with simplicity.
OnePlus rather feels that rather than adding bloatware and extra features, they’ve better focused on the performance and the battery life. They have also included a feedback app for the customers to give their opinions on the giant’s first new OS based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.
