REDMI has confirmed the REDMI K90 series will launch in China on October 23. The company keeps sharing its main specifications, and the newest teaser image highlights the REDMI K90 Pro Max’s camera. It confirms big new features that will greatly improve its photo and performance skills.
REDMI K90 Pro Max camera
According to official announcements from REDMI on Weibo, the K90 Pro Max will have their best-ever camera system. It’s confirmed to use the 1/1.31-inch Light Fusion 950 main sensor, the same high-dynamic one found in the Xiaomi 17 series.
The sensor supports a 13.5EV dynamic range using DXG high dynamic technology, assuring great contrast, detail, and accurate color in tough lighting. The camera’s 1G+6P hybrid lens construction, which uses one glass and six plastic parts with a coating, works to lessen glare and sharpen photos.
Although Redmi hasn’t revealed all camera specs yet, leaks hint the K90 Pro Max may feature a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP Samsung JN5 periscope telephoto camera. However, the specifications of the front-facing camera remain undisclosed.
Performance and battery
Inside, the REDMI K90 Pro Max will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, with high-end performance for gaming and multitasking. It will also include a 7,560 mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging, one of REDMI’s most powerful battery setups yet.
Display, design, and audio
The K90 Pro Max is expected to feature a 6.59-inch OLED display with 2K resolution for vivid visuals and deep contrast levels. The smartphone will ship with Android 16 with HyperOS 3, Xiaomi’s latest custom interface for a smoother, AI-enhanced experience.
For audio, REDMI has confirmed a 2.1-channel system featuring a Bose-powered rear speaker, designed to deliver a richer and more immersive sound experience. The handset also includes a metal middle frame and boasts IP68/69 certification that ensures protection against dust and water exposure.

While the REDMI K90 series is currently confirmed for a China-only release, multiple reports from industry sources, indicate that global markets may see these devices under the Poco brand. The REDMI K90 and K90 Pro are reportedly set to launch internationally as the Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra, respectively.
