OnePlus is en-route to announce the OnePlus Turbo 6X series on June 18 in China. However, the Chinese smartphone maker is known for unleashing details of key specs ahead of launch, and the latest is no exception. Turns out President of OnePlus China – Louis Li Jie, shared stunning details about the series that comprises two models – the OnePlus Turbo 6X and Turbo 6X Pro, including color opinions, memory configurations, along with chipset details.
OnePlus Turbo 6X series key details
OnePlus’ President Louis Li Jie confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus Turbo 6X Pro will get a 1.5K Samsung-made eye-care display, likely at 6.78” tall with IP66/68/69/69K protection. There’s a beefy 8,000mAh battery under the hood and a top-class OS as the software layer propelling the device with cutting-edge performance.
Furthermore, OnePlus Turbo 6X, which is the standard model in the series, packs in a 7,000mAh battery under the hood, followed by a 6.72” LCD panel, multi-grade durability, and other top-class specs that, when combined, pit Turbo 6X as the prime example of endurance, reliability, and display comfort.
The official posters for the OnePlus Turbo 6X series reveal their chipset of choice as well. We have the Dimensity 7360 SoC for the base Turbo 6X and the Dimensity 7400 Super SoC for the Pro. There are at least three storage options to choose from, i.e., 8+128 GB, 8+256 GB, and 12+256GB.
Seems like both devices will be available in similar colorways, i.e., orange and black, unless there’s a special edition to that. As per a previous TENAA listing, Turbo 6X is touted to arrive with a 50+2MP rear cam plus an 8MP front cam. On the other hand, Pro features a 50+8MP dual rear cam, and its front has a 16MP shooter.
The OnePlus Turbo 6X Series release is confirmed for June 18 in China. It remains to be seen if the phone actually arrives in India. For the unversed, the phones already share resemblance to the OnePlus Nord CE6 and Nord CE6 Lite. Could it be a coincidence, or could OP simply rebranded the devices, marking its Chinese launch right after the India launch last month?
