More rumors and details of the imminently launching Samsung Galaxy A5 and A7 (2017 versions) have surfaced. The price of both the phones has been apparently leaked in Malaysia, ahead of the official launch scheduled on 5th January 2017. What’s more, the phones have a surprisingly elevated price, considering them being budget or mid-range smartphones.
Jumping right into the pricing details, the Galaxy A7 will be priced at RM1,899 (which translates to $424 or Rs.28,810). And the younger brother, Galaxy A5 will be priced at RM1,600 (which translates to $378 or Rs.25,685). To encourage buyers, Samsung has already kicked in an offer in the Malaysia announcement: pre-orderers will be given a Level U Pro Wireless headphone for free. The pre-order time period ranges from 6th January 2017 to 15th January 2017.
Apart from pricing, Samsung has already confirmed that the phones will be water and dust resistant. Also, firmware for both devices are made available to download on Samsung’s servers, and the Korean giant’s Russian site already houses the user manuals for A3, A5, and A7 2017 editions. In addition, ETNews reports that the 2017 Galaxy A lineup will have a 12MP front-facing camera, which is an upgrade from the 2016 Galaxy A lineup’s 5MP front-facing camera.
Overall, these phones sound quite robust from what they have to offer. although, these mid-rangers also sound pricey. There’s no much to wait either, Samsung will soon share their official word on these devices.
