We have one huge report coming out of the tech industry and this one is regarding Apple and their upcoming iPhones later this year. Bloomberg, one of the most trusted sources in the industry, has revealed interesting details regarding the next iPhone series which will be the iPhone 12 series. As per the report, Apple will launch four new iPhones this year and the iPhone 12 Pro chassis will be redesigned. Now, this report is not totally surprising because we already know that a redesign was on the cards.

The report continues to reveal that the iPhone 12 Pro chassis redesign will be similar to the iPad Pro meaning that the sides will be flat. We have seen rounded sides on the iPhone X, Xs and the iPhone 11 series so this will be a massive change in design for sure. But it is also worth remembering that the iPhone 12 series was said to be following the footsteps of iPhone 4 design which had flat sides as well.

Also, an earlier report suggested that the iPhone 12 Pro will have a LiDAR sensor at the back for better depth detection as well as 3D-scanning which means that if you want to guess how the iPhone 12 Pro will look, you can take a look at the current iPad Pro design. It will have flat sides with rounded buttons, a four-camera sensor setup at the back in a symmetrical box-like design and additional 5G support that is not present on the iPad Pro yet.

It is also reported by Bloomberg that the largest iPhone Pro will have a “slightly larger” display panel and we know that the iPhone 11 Pro Max comes with a 6.5-inch screen so it will have a 6.6-inch display or bigger. The notch will also become smaller and it will still have Face ID support along with all sensors present. It is interesting to see how Apple manages to trim down the notch but the report does mention that it is happening.

Finally, the report also suggests that a 14-inch Macbook Pro is coming later this year. This will mean that like we saw a 16-inch Macbook Pro in a 15-inch chassis last year, we will see a 14-inch Macbook Pro in a 13-inch chassis this year.
