Looking for a better way to consume media? Then you can pick up the Nexus Player, the first Android TV set-top box, from the Google store for just $79 ($20 off). We aren’t sure if this price cut is permanent or not, but it stays a great deal.
The discount comes just a few days before Google I/O starts, interestingly enough. We didn’t see any rumors about a new Nexus Player, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re going to launch a new Android TV-powered set-top box at Google I/O.
Just to make it totally clear, the Nexus Player comes with the set-top box and a remote control. If you want the Nexus Player Gamepad you need to pay $40 more. If you’re looking to save even more money, you can look over at Amazon for a price around $73.
Interested? Head over to the Google Store to buy it.
The Google I/O is on the 28th and 29th of May, and we’ll make a full report about everything that happened, so come and see it!
