After the recent launch of Huawei P20 and P20 Pro, the company is at its peak. Huawei’s sister company Honor has been producing decent mid-range phones competing with Xiaomi. Both the companies have been shattering the sales record recently with its mid-range devices as well as high range devices. The Huawei P20 and P20 Pro caught a lot of people’s attention with their three rear-camera placement. Nevertheless, Huawei is back on the news with its next flagship Honor 10, which is expected to be launched on May 15 in London.
The leaks come from Weibo, a Chinese microblogging site, which lately has been the source of half the leaks. The leak posted on Weibo was of the official banner which should be released by the company. The banner reveals Honor 10’s rear design and the colours it is expected to be available in. The alleged Honor 10 is held by a renowned Chinese actor and singer Hu Ge.
He can be seen holding the device that sports a glossy glass back resembling the design of the Huawei P20 duo. Surprisingly, the fingerprint sensor which most of the time is placed at the rear of the device is nowhere to be seen. This time again, the Honor 10 might follows the route of Huawei P20, that has its fingerprint sensor placed on the front, below its 18:9 display. Earlier reports suggest that the Honor 10 will follow the footsteps of some of the Android smartphone manufacturers by sporting a display cut out.
A store in China apparently posted banners of the Honor 10 outside its shop which revealed the specifications. The Honor 10 is expected to be powered by an in-house Kirin 970 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The Honor 10 will sport a 5.8-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,160 pixels. The poster seems to suggest that the device will sport a 100 percent screen-to-body ratio which is technically impossible keeping in mind the placement of the fingerprint sensor, unless, Huawei adopts the under-display fingerprint sensor. The Honor 10 is expected to run on Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.1.

Following the leaks, the device is expected to come with AI-powered dual rear cameras, similar to the ones on the Honor View 10. The media invites for the London event are already been sent out and the caption it comes with is “Beauty in AI”. The launch event will be held on May 15 and more leaks are expected to pour in before the initial launch.
