Motorola’s entry-level Moto G6 Play leaks in benchmark test

There have been ample number of leaks about Motorola’s smartphone lineup for 2018, which will reportedly be launched in the coming weeks. The alleged Motorola lineup may include a number of devices including the Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, and also the Moto G6 Plus. The Moto G-series has been a breakthrough product lineup for the brand and with the Moto G5s Plus launched a few months ago, the company received an immense response. Motorola might try to replicate the popularity of its past phones with its upcoming Moto G6-series smartphones.

According to the rumours, the Moto G6 Play is most likely to house a Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. These rumours were confirmed in a benchmark test that leaked online. As per the listing, the device will also come with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Other than these specs, there was nothing else leaked. Going by some of the rumours, the Moto G6 Play will most probably sport a 5.7-inch HD+ screen. The device will pack a beefy 4,000mAh battery and it is said to be the most affordable phone to launch under the G6 moniker.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Moto G6 Play sports a single camera at the rear with a 12MP sensor along with an LED flash. Some reports suggest that the fingerprint scanner may be embedded into the Motorola logo at the rear, which would be exceptional. Since the leaked images do not show a scanner up front, we can hope to see it at the rear.

The Moto G6 Play is expected to go on sale for $190 and will be available in Deep Blue, Dark Charcoal and Gold, based on the leaked images.
