OnePlus 6 is set to become the talk of the town with some of its major leaks already starting to appear on the internet. The latest one shows the phone’s listing on AnTuTu with a high benchmark score and hints towards the presence of a taller display along with the notorious notch. Like it has always been the case, OnePlus flagship for 2018 is also expected to feature the best processor from Qualcomm, based on the benchmark score, which currently is the Snapdragon 845.

The most noteworthy thing in the screenshot is the score of 276,510 points that the device got in AnTuTu, which is in line with the previously leaked score of devices running Snapdragon 845. It is likely for the Chinese smartphone maker to go for the chipset and it also makes sense. While the benchmark scores don’t tell the entire story, they sure do give an idea of the kind of hardware used. The on-screen Android navigation are also in the typical OnePlus fashion like seen on the OnePlus 5T, further strengthening the fact that the screenshot was indeed taken on the OnePlus 6.

Another thing to note in the screenshot, which isn’t as obvious, is its aspect ratio, which is a tad taller than that of the OnePlus 5T. The current OnePlus flagship sports an 18:9 aspect ratio with smaller bezels on the top and bottom of its display. OnePlus 6’s screenshot, on the other hand, bears an aspect ratio of 19:9. Moreover, there is some unused in the top portion where the clock has also been moved to the right corner. All these things come together to suggest the presence of an iPhone X-like notch and that new aspect ratio must be present to cover the notch while providing the full display viewing area in 18:9 aspect ratio.

Ever since Apple announced the iPhone X last year, Android smartphone manufacturers have been quick to imitate its notch with most of the newer Android devices now embracing the pesky notch. Oppo R15 was also recently teased by the company with the teaser image showing a silhouette of the device sporting a notch. The upcoming OnePlus 6 is expected to be based on the Oppo R15 for its design and may also end up having a notch.
