After releasing Android 12 Beta 2, it’s time for more updates that follow. Google has just released Android 12 Beta 2.1 which is an incremental update that brings a few bug fixes up its sleeves for Pixel users.
To account for all the bug fixes that Beta 2.1 offers, here’s the complete changelog for build SPB2.210513.011 released earlier on Thursday.
A bug caused the new mic and camera indicators on the status bar to get stuck and disappear. The only workaround was when a user reboots the phone that the privacy indicators started working properly on Beta 2. Well, Beta 2.1 has fixed this bug. Another potential bug waa with the actions performed during the lock screen such as swiping up action to unlock the phone or swiping down to reveal the notification panel as well as swiping away notification, it has been fixed as well.
Some users reported jittery and flickering animations when they tried to access recent apps using gesture navigations. Perhaps, Beta 2.1 has fixed it as well. One of the impending bugs was triggered when the Android 12 Beta 2 failed to show calendar events and weather data on At a Glance widget both on the home screen and the lock screen. The incoming Beta 2.1 has fixed it.
Another bug reported on Beta 2 that has been fixed with Beta 2.1 is the one causing the Android Virtual Device to prevent connection to the internet on an Android Emulator. Finally, the changelog also mentions a bug where the user was able to upgrade to the beta version and after resetting the device, the screen stuck on the setup wizard for some reason. This has been fixed as well.
The Android 12 Beta 2.1 is still a minor update with a few bug fixes and the build is labeled as SPB2.210513.011 available for all Pixel devices signed up under Android Beta for Pixel program. If you haven’t signed up yet, here’s your chance to get Android 12 on your Pixel device before anyone else. Also, Android 12 is available as a beta for a handful of non-Pixel smartphones as well.
