Today at Delhi, the Honor 6X was officially launched in India by Huawei. The phone was announced with several features such as a dua-lens main camera sensor setup. Originally, the phone was inaugurated at CES 2017 event in Las Vegas, and we’re glad to see the brand stepping in the Indian Market already. Besides all that, the phone packs enough potential to compete with the Redmi Note 4 or the Coolpad Cool 1 Dual as well.
Apart from possessing a metal unibody design, the phone features a 5.5-inch full-HD 1080P screen, topped by a 2.5D curved glass. And unlike the last year’s Honor 5X, the Honor 6X features curved and smooth edges on the front as well as the back. This design change was meant to suit the current market which is already saturated with al-metal-clad smartphones. On the software front, the Honor 6X comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, painted on by EMUI 4.1. The company has also mentioned about an Android Nougat 7.0 update on the way.
On the camera side, the phone features a dual-lens based back camera setup, which would allow camera fanatics a whole new territory to explore. The main sensor is a 12-megapixel camera, assisted by a 2-megapixel camera that is meant to capture the depth-of-field details (the bokeh effect). The front facing camera on the Honor 6X is an 8-megapixel sensor. The phone is powered by Hisilicon Kirin 655 octa-core processor clocked at 2.1GHz and with a choice of various RAM options available.
Huawei announced the Honor 6X with a 3340mAh battery capacity, which is expected to last a full day on heavy usage. The phone also features fast charging that is apparently 30% faster that the former. Besides that, the phone will be available in 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM and 64GB storage at Rs. 12999 and Rs. 15999 respectively on Amazon.in.
