On the very last day of 2017, Xiaomi started the rollout of Android Oreo update for the Mi A1 to keep their promise of releasing it before the year ends. Apparently, the update was made available without being polished much and had a lot of bugs that forced the company to suspend it. Now that everything is fixed, Mi A1 Oreo update is rolling out once again to the users.
Xiaomi has confirmed that it is now rolling out the new OPR1.170623.026.8.1.10 update with all the previous issues fixed. While pulling the update earlier, the company said that a new one will be rolled out in a couple of weeks. But it looks like Xiaomi was able to fix all the bugs in a few days itself.
The list of issues that people faced with the previously released Mi A1 Oreo update included battery drain with Bluetooth on, disabled fingerprint sensor gestures, unresponsive dialer, unresponsive camera app, unresponsive ambient light sensor, random reboots, stuck GPS icon, and a few others. The new update, as per the company, includes a fix to all these issues along with the latest security patch of January.
Even though, the company claims to have fixed all the bugs that were previously seen, some of the users are still facing certain issues. Few users have reported about the slow camera performance after the update, while the GPS issue is still not fixed for a others. We might have to wait for a wider rollout of this update to get a clearer picture of the situation.
