In a teaser video on Twitter, Motorola India has hinted the launch of a new phone in the coming days. The Lenovo-owned brand is speculated to launch a handful of new smartphone series across different price points. This teaser video would indicate the launch of any of them.
India is a fairly large market for Moto, in fact, it is the second biggest market for the company after Brazil. Most of the smartphones it sells in the country are from the budget segment, where its E and G series are positioned.
The teaser video doesn’t give any detail about the phone, nor is the phone’s name revealed. It was posted on Twitter with a hashtag #Smarterphone. The video, however, does gives an idea that the upcoming phone would improve the internal speaker to give a better output.

A man is shown in the video who is trying to watch a music video sitting in a public place. The audio from the phone isn’t audible at all. This video indicates that the phone will enhance your video consumption by offering a better screen and speaker that is louder than the ordinary ones, it may also house stereo speakers for an even better experience.
The video is accompanied by a message that reads: “Gear up to bid Goodbye to old struggles and Say Hello to a #Smarterphone. Watch this space closely to stay updated!”
Moto C series was announced a while back in Europe and it was said to be meant for countries like India where low-priced smartphones sell like hotcakes. Though, the C series phones were to be launched by Spring some of the selected markets including Asia Pacific.
Besides this, there is also a high chance that Moto will be launching a new series altogether, like the rumored E4 and the GS series. The Moto GS series is premium series probably for the budget market and we got some information about the series just yesterday. The exact details will only be known as we get closer to the launch.
