The OnePlus 3 will be launched in Late Q2, 2016

The second flagship made by OnePlus was released back in July 2015. But, it seems like we don’t need to wait a full year until their new flagship for 2016, the OnePlus 3. CNET interviewed OnePlus co-founder and CEO Carl Pei, he announced that the OnePlus 3 will be announced before the end of Q2. Which means that we should expect the OnePlus 3 to arrive before the end of June.

The OnePlus 3 will feature a ‘new design’

As the interview went on they asked him about the design of the OnePlus 3, he said that the OnePlus 3 will feature a “new design” although he stayed pretty vague in his comments on this. He didn’t give other details about the design either, one thing that the founder did say was that he hopes the design of the OP3 will captivate users as much as the OnePlus One did back in 2014.

Later on during the interview he said that the United States will be a very important market for OnePlus in 2016, and that they’re looking to use more “traditional marketing” to promote the upcoming flagship. Currently they don’t do any real advertising on TV of whatsoever, they rely on a strong social networking presence to spread the word for OnePlus. And, yes the OnePlus 3 will still arrive in the US as an unlocked device sold directly by OnePlus. Something else he said about the OnePlus 3 was that users can expect a better buying process, although he didn’t really explain what’s coming up.

We hope to find out more about the OnePlus 3 in the upcoming weeks, so stay tuned for more details
