Apple has launched Apple Music Connect, a dedicated system that allows music labels and distribution partners to handle promotional materials and artist marketing on Apple Music. The resource acts as a centralized hub where industry teams can upload assets, organize marketing materials, and coordinate how artists and releases are presented on the streaming service.

A central hub for music promotion

Apple Music Connect is designed to simplify promotional workflows. By bringing multiple functions into one system, Apple wants to help partners deliver accurate content and keep artist branding consistent across playlists, editorial features, and marketing campaigns.

Tools to support releases

The platform includes a range of integrated tools that support different stages of music promotion. Partners can create promotional artwork and visual assets to accompany new releases to ensure campaigns appear cohesive across Apple Music and external channels.

The hub also enables labels and distributors to submit detailed information about upcoming projects through Apple Music Pitch. This allows Apple Music’s editorial teams to review releases for potential playlist placements and feature coverage.

In addition, partners can upload press photos and other media assets requested for editorial use, ensuring that artist imagery and promotional materials meet platform standards. The previous platform, launched in 2015, allowed artists to share posts directly with listeners but was discontinued in 2018 following limited adoption. It joined Ping, Apple’s earlier music social network, which shut down in 2012.
