Last Friday, Apple opened the gates for its latest iPhone XS 2018 and iPhone XS Max 2018 which released on September 12, 2018, at Apple’ Special Event 2018. Now that the iPhones are up for sales, the sales figures are staggering and more than expected or estimated earlier.

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone XS Max is outselling iPhone XS by a factor of three to four times which is a huge figure when it comes to iPhone sales which run in millions. Kuo further added that the demand for iPhone XS Max is higher than its smaller screen sibling iPhone XS and that the 256GB storage option is currently trending while the larger 512GB internal storage option is consistently out-of-stock due to the shortage of NAND chips used in the 512GB variants which are developed and manufactured by Samsung only. About the colors, both Space Gray and Gold are trending in the Apple fan base compared to another popular color i.e. Silver.

Apple Watch Series 4 hit the market at the same time as the new iPhone XS and XS Max and it has seen a lot of demand as well. In fact, the estimated shipment of the Watch 4 is estimated to be 18mn to 19.5 million for 2018. Although the delivery waiting period is slightly longer now, it will be shortened once Apple’s new supplier Compal joins the wagon producing Apple Watch Series 4 for the upcoming holiday season when it is expected to sell more.

Unfortunately, due to problems with its display, the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone XR will be released next month on October 19 and a week after that, the shipment will be readied. Kuo stated that iPhone XR could be a hot seller too but since it is almost a month left, we will get the see how the iPhone XR fares compared to the other OLED versions of iPhones launched together.
