One of the largest manufacturers in the world, Apple, released a statement for its investors last night saying that they expect to miss the quarterly revenues for Q4, 2019 due to the coronavirus outbreak. This is because the company says that even though the revenue outside of China is strong, the production issues from China have caused their slump in revenue. Also, the local Chinese demand has not been great which is also a reason for the below-estimated revenue projection.

Talking about Apple’s 2020 plans, we know that the company is reviving an old iPhone series which is the iPhone SE range of phones. If you might recall, Apple launched its first iPhone SE which was an iPhone 5 with upgraded internals. Similarly, Apple is going to launch the iPhone SE 2 which many reports claim to be named as the iPhone 9.

Same as the iPhone SE, this will also be identical to an iPhone previously released by Apple. As per reports, the iPhone SE 2 or iPhone 9 will resemble the iPhone 8 in terms of design which means we will have a smartphone with thick bezels in 2020. However, the internals will be upgraded and there is every indication that Apple’s A13 Bionic which is seen on the iPhone 11 series will be inside the device.

Also, there will be a single-camera setup and we will have a $399 starting price tag. Basically, the iPhone SE 2 or iPhone 9 will be pitched as an entry-level iPhone to get into the Apple ecosystem for people who are still on the fence. However, Apple has a serious concern on their hands which is the coronavirus epidemic. Since almost all of Apple’s production comes from China, we feel that the company’s plans could be impacted.

But there is now a sign of relief for Apple fans as Bloomberg has reported that Apple will manage to launch the iPhone SE 2 by March of this year, as per previous plans. The publication also reveals that the iPad Pro 2020 will arrive by the first half of 2020. A separate report also revealed that there might be a March 31 special event hosted by the company just like last year.

At this event, we will see an iPhone SE 2 being announced along with other products and services with the iPhone SE 2 going on sale by April 3. Also, there are reports the iPhone 12 series might have limited supply when it launches later this year. Other products from Apple such as the wireless charging mat, AirTag trackers similar to Tile trackers and high-end headphones are also coming but they might get delayed.
