It is pretty clear that Apple will launch at least three smartphones this fall – a successor to iPhone X (2017), a plus-sized iPhone X, and a 6.1-inch LCD budget iPhone (as per Apple’s standard). Recently, some pictures showing the front panels of these three smartphones surfaced online showing the oomph factor that these smartphones got even before the official photo is released by Apple.
The photos compiled from two different sources show three front panels of different sizes that look identical. First is the 5.8-inch OLED panel then comes 6.5-inch OLED panel, presumably the iPhone X and lastly iPhone X Plus, have a premium look with notch support. The 6.1-inch LCD panel shows a deeper notch, however, it looks premium while being made cheaper in terms of its price tag.
Talking about the bezels with the staff from iCloud bypass, we realized that alot has been happening in the industry. Apple introduced its first edge-to-edge reduced-bezel smartphone i.e. Apple iPhone X last year that went crazily viral as millions of units are sold as of now and the market is getting stronger every day. All these three panels show stunning reduced-bezel displays where the 6.1-inch LCD model shows a slightly thicker bezel compared to the other two models as you can see in the photos.
Apple budget iPhone to come with LCD screen instead of OLED
Apple is going to introduce its budget smartphone i.e. 6.1-inch with LCD screen as opposed to its OLED screen in order to reduce the cost. A Japanese firm Nichia is one of the suppliers that will ship 0.3t LED chip with smaller connectors for the ‘budget’ iPhone that reduces the size of connectors from 4-4.5mm to 2-2.5mm when compared to the originally used 0.4t LED Chip. Apple has already started testing the new chips and it will get ready by this fall when all three upcoming iPhone models will be officially unveiled.
The premium-looking budget iPhone will come in various color options such as orange, red, blue, white, grey, and others which is a throwback to Apple’s iPhone 5C that was released in various color options. Although Apple will include its state-of-the-art 3D sensing facial recognition technology, the budget smartphone will not have features like stainless steel chassis, force-sensitive 3D touch screen or dual camera. As per its price tag, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo quoted a price tag of $700 for this stunning budget iPhone which is still cheaper in terms of Apple’s standard.
The updated 5.8-inch iPhone X will have a price tag of $900 as opposed to the 2017 released iPhone X. It will receive several upgraded components for faster clock speed and processing and much more. The plus-sized 6.5-inch OLED iPhone X Plus will have premium features and the first of a kind dual SIM card slot that will come with a price tag of upwards of $999 per unit. It might also include the third lens at the rear for a triple camera setup for brighter and detailed photos and videos. Apple is expected to unveil the iOS 12 with the launch of these three iPhone models. As of now, iOS 12 Beta 4 version is available for users who don’t want to wait for the official release this fall.
