Nothing makes me thrilled more than what Apple does. Apple just released iPhone SE in a press release rather than holding an actual launch event. But don’t give up your hopes just yet. Apple is gearing up for its massive iPhone 12 launch and we might have first of CAD-based renders for the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Thanks to the YouTube channel EverythingApplePro in collaboration with leakster Max Weinbach, here’s a first look at what the phone could look like once it releases later this year.
EverythingApplePro made a 3D-printed iPhone 12 Pro Max give a clear picture of the device. Apparently, the sides are flat which gives us a reminiscent of the iPhone 5 which is something a lot of people loved about iPhones before the company went into trimming the edges and giving it a bit of a curve. Anyways, ~13 minutes exclusive video does mention that Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max could boost a screen size of 6.7-inch which is 0.2-inch larger than last year’s iPhone 11 Pro Max. Thankfully, this is due to reduced bezels and a bit of an increase in width.
Notches are both loved and hated so if you are on the latter side, you could do just fine with the upcoming 12 Pro Max. The renders show that the notch has been squeezed and in fact, it is now just a tad bit bigger than OnePlus 6’s notch so no more large notch that keeps haunting your face.
Note that the designs are 70% complete as per the sources so there could be some changes before Apple finalizes it for production later this year. Now flip the phone and check out the new back panel. No, it isn’t made up of any sci-fi self-repairable material but rather a plush new quad-camera setup. Yep, iPhone 12 Pro will have a quad-camera setup possibly including the improved LiDAR sensor that will result in greater augmented reality performance. It will also help in better time-of-flight data thereby enabling better photos and videos apart from the AR applications.
Overall, the back panel will be plush as said and unlike the predecessor, the camera bump on this one will be a bit thinner so that’s a relief as well. iPhone 12 series is expected to arrive with 5G citing wholesome reports published over a few months. It will be powered by Apple’s improved A14 Bionic chipset with 5G support.
Next up, the loudspeaker grille at the bottom is expected to be around 15% larger thereby producing higher volume rather than just greater audio quality. The CAD render shows that Apple’s Lightning Port is still there even though Apple was speculated to get a universal USB-C port. There’s no 3.5mm headphone jack either which doesn’t come as a surprise nowadays. The SIM tray has also changed sides as the circuit boards under the hood has been changed a bit. The side buttons on iPhone 12 Pro appear to be lowered a bit to complement the giant screen and so on.
Apple will launch its iPhone 12 series consisting of the standard iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max later this year in September as per its usual launch schedule unless the ongoing coronavirus pandemic causes a bit of delay.
