It didn’t go that well with BlackBerry in the last few years when it comes to their smartphones. But, when you look for a level of success for Blackberry I would like to direct you to their messaging service. While the messaging service has been available on Android for a while now, Blackberry is rolling out an update to the Beta app today. Which brings the app much closer to Google’s design standard.
The update brings MD to the app, but it also makes the app much more colorful, gives it a transparent status bar, and much more. Aside from the design changes, they also added private chats to the BBM app, which disables the notifications and contacts names, with auto-deleting when closing when you close the chat. You can now also change your message and update your status in the BBM feed.
For those who are interested in the Beta app for BBM, head over the Blackberry’s website and sign up for the Beta.
