CMF, a sub-brand of Nothing, has officially launched its new CMF Buds 2 in the US, UK, and Europe, continuing its pattern of offering feature-packed products at affordable prices. Known for their clean, minimalist aesthetic, the Buds 2 follow suit with a design that’s simple yet functional.

The CMF Buds 2 are now available at £39 in the UK, $59 in the US, and approximately €49.92 in Europe. While the India launch is still pending, it’s expected to happen by the end of this month. The earbuds come in three bold color options: Vivid Orange, Light Green, and Dark Grey.

The story starts to take shape when we get into the technical details. The 11 mm dynamic drivers in the Buds 2 are built with a PMI diaphragm, producing crisp, powerful sound. The devices have a more balanced and detailed sound profile thanks to DIRAC’s sound tuning and support for SBC and AAC codecs.

Bass lovers won’t be let down by the CMF’s Ultra Bass Technology 2.0. In addition, spatial audio effects are included for a more engaging experience, especially when playing games or streaming movies.

These earbuds have a special feature that enables them to adjust and reduce noise leakage depending on the user’s environment. They also have Smart Active Noise Cancellation, which can block out noise levels of up to 48 dB.

Version 3.0 of Wind-Noise Reduction and Clear Voice Technology are features of the microphone system. In actuality, it’s about having clear conversations, whether you’re in a noisy setting or indoors.

CMF provides a dedicated Gaming Mode with latency lowered to less than 110 ms for mobile gamers. Nothing or CMF phones work best with this low-lag mode. Bluetooth 5.4 offers a strong connection with both iOS and Android devices for regular users.

First-time device setup can be done efficiently with features such as Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair, which expedite the process significantly. The Buds 2’s battery life is also impressive.

Each of the earbuds has a 53mAh cell, and the charging case has a 460mAh battery. When not using active noise cancellation, they allow for a combined listening time of up to 55 hours. Even with active noise cancellation turned on, the earbuds continue to deliver dependable performance. The music won’t stop playing for a long time.

The earbuds are appropriate for exercise or travel in bad weather because of their IP55 rating, which indicates that they are resistant to perspiration and some light rain. IPX2, the basic level of water resistance in this case, guards against tiny water droplets.

Touch controls on the earbuds allow you to control playback, make calls, and perform additional functions. The speaker can also integrate ChatGPT for making voice requests and finding information, as well as using equalizer settings for refining their audio output.

In summary, the CMF Buds 2 do a lot of things at a price that stays within the budget range: good sound, effective noise cancellation, practical smart features, and a competitive battery life. India’s launch is right around the corner, and I’ll be keeping an eye out for the official pricing. As soon as it’s out, I’ll break it down here.
