Facebook indulges in advertisements targeting teens with inferiority complex

Recently a renowned magazine known as The Australian has probed deeper in the aspect of Facebook advertisement and has revealed a shocking fact that Facebook customizes its advertisements in a way that it is specific to the minds of the vulnerable teenagers. This pushing towards the personalization seems to have crossed its limit since the ads that are shown temporarily boosts the confidence of the teens, but then that is only a superficial layer- On the other hand, it is somewhat manipulating the minds of the individuals with low self-esteem just for the sake of more money making game. The extent of exploitation is beyond imagination and has been rendered shameful.

It does not in any way mean that Facebook has not abided by the law or something, it only points out the fact that this forum needs to be more responsible when it comes to advertisement customization. Facebook has a long way to go, and they should make sure not to take advantage and make money by exploiting the weaknesses of the individuals- especially the teenagers when they need to be heard, not superficial consolations.
