Oneplus had loads of ups and down during their relative short history. While the company got loads of attention for their “flagship killer” since the announcement last year, Oneplus also suffered from several PR mishaps, loads of complains about the invite system, the delay of the Android Lollipop update and the list goes on. Still, after all the complains, the Oneplus One stays the most affordable high-end flagship out there and it won lots of fans during this time, despite the hiccups along the way.
Are you looking forward to the next plans for 2015 coming from Oneplus? If so, you may be excited because Oneplus started sending out invites for an event on the 20th of April, and with the message: “From here on out, anything could happen.”
The most obvious assumption for this event would be the launch of the Oneplus Two, but Oneplus CEO Peter Lau stated that the Oneplus Two will be released in the third quarter this year. So unless they pushed things up, it seems unlikely that they’re going to show the Oneplus Two, but Oneplus hinted on another phone that will be released this year, a phone that will focus on the style and less on the specs. So, they may announce it ahead of the Oneplus Two. Of course, it can always be something with the software, or they are finally ending their invite system for good? One can hope. But after all, “anything could happen”.
