Three weeks into Gemini 3.6 Flash, the search engine giant has released a much better Gemini 3.7 Flash with significant gains and the “most intelligent workhorse model” for coding and AI agents. Google says the new model was based on developer feedback and algorithmic innovations that will be used in future models to improve their standings.
Google rolls out significantly performance-heavy Gemini 3.7 Flash
Google has rolled out the Gemini 3.7 Flash model just three weeks after Gemini 3.6 Flash was released last month. The new model promises improvements in various areas, including accurate web development workflows, software engineering, and knowledge-based work such as in the fields of biosciences and finance.

As mentioned on the Google Blog, the newer model scored 43.6% on FrontierCode 1.1 Main compared to 34.4% by Gemini 3.6 Flash. It translates into improved performance and higher first-pass code accuracy when it comes to generating production-ready code.
In finance, biosciences, law, and other knowledge-dense fields, Gemini 3.7 Flash is capable of improved reasoning and accuracy, achieving 34.0% on the GDP.pdf benchmark compared to 22.0% for 3.6 Flash. There’s also a much better pricing model on the latest version at $0.75/1M input tokens and $3.75/1M output tokens. This ensures developers can generate production-ready agents using Gemini cost-effectively aka at lower cost.
